Job Overview
Barrington Media Group is looking for a motivated, self-starter,who is eager to join a growing Business Development team! In this role, you will be an ambassador for BMG, building their reputation within the industry, and engaging in prospecting opportunities such as outbound communication, client facing meetings, industry trade shows and conferences. You will work in partnership with their internal teams to identify opportunities to expand client relationships through new solutions and offerings. During the sales process, attention to detail and effective communication skills will be key, as you will be participating in contract negotiations and effectively leveraging internal resources to ensure successful strategy and scope, as well as pricing for scalable, profitable campaigns. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to create new opportunities and move deals efficiently through the pipeline. The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated self-starter with a passion and reputation for exceeding their sales goals. Core Responsibilities
- Generating new business opportunities to fuel pipeline
- Building prospect list, researching and qualifying
- Driving growth for new and existing client relationships
- Collaborating with our internal teams to identify new opportunities to expand key client relationships through new solutions and cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintaining a strong knowledge base of all Barrington Media Group offerings and capabilities
- Attend scheduled sales team meetings, and provide weekly updates on performance, opportunities, and progress
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to establish and convey industry expertise and credibility with prospective clients and partners.
- Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills and the ability to blend together our analytic and creative offerings to support new client engagement.
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize and organize effectively
- Experience of using the Hubspot CRM platform is a plus
Pay: Starting at $55,000/year subject to increase commensurate with experience
